We can help with any and all elements of children's learning from ages 3-14 however, our tutors have all completed degrees in a subject that they are passionate about and so love to support GSCE, AS and A-Level specific subjects too. The subjects that we can help with vary according to tutor's specialisms so please do ask about these.
The time we spend with your child usually follows a tutorial structure that works in alignment with the goals set out in the British National Curriculum, Early Years Foundation Stage or a subject's exam board. We have carefully created programs that target each of these goals, to ensure that we are providing support that really does what it ought to.
Sessions may also be play or socially focused, with less emphasis on curriculum, however, we still keep children's developmental goals in mind and work towards these; we're focused on child development and actively guide your child through these stages.

PERSONAL TUTORIALS
WHAT CAN WE HELP WITH?
One-to-one tutorials offer highly bespoke opportunities to focus any areas that learners would like support with. We work with children from 3 years old until A-Level, as well as adults.

ONGOING SUPPORT & REVIEW
We review your child's learning program regularly, adapting where necessary, and we're always available to discuss progress.
To reach the agreed goals, we operate on a plan, assess, review principle.

1. PLAN: We take time to create an individual program that suits your child and their goals, which we form into an easy-to-understand written plan that we share with you, the parents. This includes our initial assessment, the agreed learning goals and a plan of activities that we'll work through.

2. ASSESS: We continuously assess how the sessions are running by marking activities and through observation; we don't give formal assessments unless it's particularly beneficial (for example, when preparing to take an exam). We also provide written progress reports twice per year.
3. REVIEW: If we feel that the current plan needs altering, we'll let you know and begin creating a new plan. This might be necessary if a particular approach isn't quite working, or perhaps the goals have been reached and we can move onto a new target.

LEARNING RESOURCES

As a part of the planning documents that you receive, we offer some suggestions for specific resources that would be useful for the sessions. These include what needs to be in children's pencil cases, reading books, workbooks and any online resources. These are not compulsory purchases and if you're not able to get hold of any of the items then we can find alternatives!

We often see enthusiastic parents spending a small fortune on resources they think would help their child, only to find their child less than enthusiastic in return. Since we have worked with so many of the resources available, we're really happy to give recommendations to the families that we work with, about which ones are the most enjoyable and appropriate to the learning goals.
FEES
We offer a free consultation and advice service, however, our induction period is thorough and so we request a non-refundable Registration Fee of £30.

If you would like, you can meet your tutor for a (noncommittal) Initial Meeting before tutorials begin. We request a fee of £40 for this.
